Pierre Groult’s success in distilling apple ciders into brandy gave the family a reputation around Normandy, France. Passsed on to five generations, the Calvados produced by Groult family is distributed and recognized around the world. Roger Groult Calvados (Apple Brandy) is produced from 30 best apple varieties planted in a 24-hectare orchard owned by the family. The apples are painstakingly sorted & cleaned by hand to produced freshly pressed apple cider. It is then warmed in 3 very old & wood-fired pots that guarantees the authenticity of the Calvados production.  The process takes 3 distillation steps until it produces the very unique calvados. Calvados is strictly aged in 350 very old oak barrels to focus on the fruity taste.
